Water is a basic element for generating steam in the circuit of an industrial boiler, because it is part of the installation and affects the overall performance.
Compared to traditional treatments consisting of adding chemical products to the water (basically bisulphites) that sequester the dissolved oxygen, thermal deaeratoring is much less aggressive and saves on chemical products. The water temperature is raised to 105 °C with a constant pressure at boiling point before it enters the boiler, because the oxygen is less soluble at a higher temperature.
The thermal deaerator manufactured and installed by ATTSU are equipped with automatic devices for continuous measurement of dissolved oxygen in the feedwater before it enters the boiler.
